The Commission will continue its work in 2025 and beyond, offering insight into the increasingly complex, contested and critical issue of conspiracy theories, misinformation and disinformation and their impact on children and in schools today.
The Commission’s ongoing work will focus on monitoring the implementation of its initial recommendations and carrying out ongoing research and policy work to improve understanding of the issues, how they are currently manifesting in schools and what support is needed to address them.
Our work will remain focused on young people in schools and grounded in realities of school life and will be informed by research and carried out in partnership with experts, teachers and school leaders.
Pears Foundation is committed to funding the Commission and its secretariat and will work with the Commissioners to implement the recommendations and identify areas for philanthropic investment. The work has already begun and Pears is in conversation with partners to fund and evaluate a pilot programme of free teacher training.
We will continue to publish updates and new findings on this site.
